FRIDAY FRECKLES

Ok...so I noticed today whilst giving myself a much needed all over moisturising treatment ....just HOW MANY freckles I had accumulated over the years on my shoulders.
Gone are the days when I could sit in the sun for hours ...Nup....nowadays if I am  walking around with exposed shoulders and back I always make sure I  at least apply a 30+ sunscreen...otherwise I just end up with MORE  freckles. Its amazing how our skin pigment changes... as we grow older....and wiser of course!
But its important we embrace every  wrinkle...every crease...every stretch mark ( urrrghh did I really say that)....and every freckle...... as it tells a story....that so far....you have truly lived :)

So today ....as I carry these little sprinkles of happiness upon my shoulders...I'm going to celebrate the fact that freckles are cute...because a girl without freckles....is like a night without stars :)

Pssst.....I LOVE THESE KIND OF FRECKLES TOO ; )

  1. It's funny how things change. I hated my freckles growing up, but now it seems they're quite the in thing. 'Bout time too, I say!

  14. Oh Anna,
Isn't it funny how, we always want things that we can't have or don't want things that we already have ?
I have always wanted to have freckles, from when I was a child. I think that they are so attractive. I'm so pleased that you are embracing yours. XXXX

  17. Love this celebration! My first sign of spring is not the crocus popping through the grass but freckles popping on my shoulders.

  20. Hi Anna,

Love this post! And I'm a true freckle face (nowadays also with freckle-shoulders and freckle-arms), as is my daughter :). Used to have only the Pippi Longstocking type of freckles on my nose and cheeks, like my daughter has, until I at the age of 20 (now 14 years ago) got seriously exposed to the sun on a trip to India and to my horror (then) noticed that my whole face was covered in freckles. Thought I would die, but soon learned to accept them and now I simply can't wait for the Spring sun to make my freckles visible again, as they tend to almost completely disappear in the wintertime when my skin gets pale.

My favorite pictures are the second one from the top of the little girl with the amazing eyes, and the last one of the slightly older 'girl' :).

    Take care,
    Nona

  21. Anna, I loved this post! I've definitely got some freckles on my arms and shoulders and quite a lot on my face as well. I used to hate my freckles and always where quite a bit of makeup to cover them but lately I've realized that they give my face a little bit of character.

Such a great and sweet post. x
